How Claude makes a video
Claude has no video model. It does not generate pixels. It writes the animation as code (React components, one per scene), then a renderer turns every frame into an image and stitches them into an MP4.
That changes what you can do after the first render. A wrong word is a one-line fix. A scene that lands late moves by 12 frames. Nothing has to be regenerated from scratch.
You have two routes:
| Route | What you get | When to pick it |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Motion | Prompt in, video out, inside Claude. Beta, Team and Enterprise plans. | You want the result and not the code. |
| Claude Code + Remotion | The same idea on your machine: Claude writes a Remotion project, renders it, and you keep every file. | You want to version it, reuse scenes, or batch variants. |
The ColdIQ reel was made with Claude Code and Remotion. Every prompt in this guide works on both routes.
